2018 Reflections

Life really changed for our family over the last year.

  1. I moved mom to Assisted Living at The Gardens in Feb. All the paperwork, meetings, dr. Visits, calls with insurance companies consumed my life.
  2. Luckily, we got a 5 year old Beagle named Ruby from my niece in NC on Feb. 15.
  3. Mom fell a few times in Feb. and got very sick in March. Moving to Assisted Living was hard for her. She missed her friends and had to adjust to new people and surroundings, which is difficult when you can’t see well or hear well.
  4. In April, I left SYNNEX to take care of her and help her transition to her new home. I ate lunch with her, participated in activities and were her eyes and ears.
  5. We started an Online Talk Show via Facebook Live called Frankie’s Encouraging Words. She is quite popular and has several people who follow her each week.
  6. Ruby and I enjoyed long walks at Paris Mountain in Spring and Summer.
  7. I launched my Arbonne business in June and started the 30 Days to Healthy Living Program (lost 17 pounds!) It REALLY works.
  8. Roger and I celebrated 30 years of marriage and loved traveling to Sandals resort in Bahamas.
  9. I was able to lead at Gauntlet and learned so much! Best part was making 2 new friends: Lori and Joanna.
  10. We did a family beach trip at Hilton Head Island in Sept and spent time with Rick.
  11. In October, Roger took a full time job with HealThy Self at Bob Secours and I became the Interim Project Specialist for Greenville Schools. HAPPY GIRL!
  12. We also started Women’s Gathering at NewSpring. I get to help plan the events with 3 amazing Godly women and I learn from them weekly. HUGE BLESSING!
  13. Roger turned 60 in November so we celebrated with friends at our home. Jake and his girlfriend and Nick helped us celebrate the occasion.
  14. Lots of parties in December and mom had me shopping daily (since November) for gifts.
  15. Thinking of my focus for next year and excited about what the future holds. I can’t wait to see what God has planned.
